Bloomfield Basketball Game Rules
1. Game Time: 2 halves compromising 20 minutes per half, running time except for the last 2 minutes of each half.
1.1 Overtime: 2 minute overtime period for the first overtime, each team shall receive one (1) time-out during each overtime (No carryovers on timeouts)
1.2 In case of a second overtime, sudden death rule applies. First team to score a point after tip wins the game.
1.3 In case a team is winning by more than 20 points, running clock shall be instituted except during time-outs.
2. Fouls: Each player is allowed 5 fouls. A team will shoot one-and-one on the 7th team foul of each half, double bonus (two shots) on the 10th team foul. Clock stops at free throws, granted free throws are shot in a timely manner.
1.1 Technical Fouls: Free throws will be shot if a technical foul is awarded.
1.2 A second technical foul by the same individual during the game will result in an automatic ejection from the game.
1.3 Technical fouls awarded to players are counted as Team and Personal Fouls.
3. Time-Outs: Each team has 5 time-outs, 30-second timeout. Each team is given one time-out for each overtime period, no carry-overs.
4. Restrictions: All defenses allowed. All offenses are allowed. Full court presses are allowed after the third week. However, coaches need to pull their full court presses if their team is ahead 20 points.
5. Play: If a reserve player or coach leaves the bench and enters the court during play of a game their team shall incur a technical foul for their team and free throws will be awarded to the other team plus the ball.
